Spring Plant Sales Update We had a very successful March plant sale, offering a number of new species we have not had before. From the number of plants that went off to new homes, it looks like everyone is taking advantage of the lovely weather to go out and garden! We have a number of new species for the April sale that were not quite ready for sale in March. Our focus will be on plants that provide resources for pollinators, birds, and other creatures, including a lot of milkweed. In addition to live plants, we will also be selling our popular line of locally sourced native seeds. The Marin chapter recently compiled a Plant Replacement List for the use of homeowners who have been required to remove fire-prone plants from their property. We are working to source many of the shrubs on this list. These generally will be 1-gallon size; gardeners interested in larger sizes should order them through the four nurseries we list with the Plant Replacement List. All of these species offer great choices for filling the gaps left by plant removal as well as increasing the biodiversity in your yard. Click here for the list and further information.
