We're Growing!
CNPS is accepting applications for two new paid internship positions beginning this summer. Read on to learn how you can join our team and advance your scientific career, or support the education of young conservation botanists.
Thanks to generous contributions from Tom Hopkins and the family and friends of Erin Espeland, CNPS is offering two high-level internships. These internships are honoring two women who were passionate about mentoring others. Both positions are at least half-time and include medical benefits.
Students, apply now!
Additional student resources CNPS provides a diversity of opportunities to help students grow their skills and further their careers. Chapter scholarships and CNPS educational awards support student research. The CNPS Fall Conservation Symposium brings together students and conservation leaders to discuss timely topics. CNPS workshops and professional trainings provide practical skills. Most of all, the triennial CNPS Conservation Conference (coming in 2021!) is instrumental in advancing early career scientists – the 2018 conference saw a record number of students, and, thanks to donors, many students received a grant to fully cover their registration. Learn more about how CNPS helps grow the next generation of California scientists at cnps.org/students.
Lend your support and get involved! CNPS is able to make such a difference thanks largely to the vision of donors in our community. Internships, research scholarships, student workshops, conference registrations, and travel to annual symposia are all underwritten by members who feel a personal need to “pay it forward.”
- Make a donation to the CNPS Student Fund, to support students with travel funds, field supplies, and specialized training that advances their careers.

Thank you for helping to build the next generation of conservationists!
Sincerely, The CNPS Team
