Part 4: Nursery Participation Agreement

Participating nurseries are required to:

  • Take the free online Calscape Nursery Training - 1 manager/supervisor and 1 staff.  If your nursery has 5 or less total staff, only 1 person needs to take the training.
  • Create and maintain a free nursery profile on Calscape.org
  • Update native plant inventory monthly on Calscape.org
  • Share the California Native Plant Society’s regional plant lists with your growers
  • Display free point of sale materials:
    • Calscape Nursery Program standing sign
    • Place “CA Native” stickers on California native plants

Participating nurseries are strongly encouraged to:

  • Display Calscape Nursery Program cling - indicates to customers that the nursery has staff trained in the care of California native plants on staff
  • Request staff who successfully complete the Calscape Nursery Training wear a button indicating they are knowledgeable about California native plants
  • Display optional free point of sale materials
  • Stock/carry California native plants found on the California Native Plant Society’s regional plant lists

I understand that my nursery needs to create a free nursery profile on Calscape.org and meet the staff training requirements before it is eligible to receive the complimentary point of sale materials. I understand that my nursery will not be listed as a participating nursery if the above requirements are not met.

Question - Required - Your application responses submitted to CNPS, including contact information (names, emails, and phone numbers), will be shared with the following program partners: El Toro Water District, City of Huntington Beach, Irvine Ranch Water District, City of Laguna Beach, Long Beach Water Department, Mesa Water District, Metropolitan Water District, Moulton Niguel Water District, Municipal Water District of Orange County, City of Newport Beach, City of San Clemente, City of San Juan Capistrano, City of Santa Ana, Santa Margarita Water District, and WaterNow Alliance. You may be contacted by these program partners for the purposes of monitoring program progress, and with program-related resources and reminders. Application responses will also be used to establish baselines for program metrics, and may be shared in future reports and presentations about the program.
